When you create an event, we collect event details such as dates, venues, functions, and guest lists. When guests RSVP, we collect their name, contact number, and response.

We automatically collect certain technical information when you use our platform, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and the time and date of your visits. This information helps us improve our service and provide a better experience.

1.3 Guest Information

As a host, you may provide us with contact information of your guests (names, phone numbers) to send invitations. By using this feature, you represent that you have the appropriate consent or legitimate basis to share this information with us.

We use the information we collect to: (a) provide, operate, and maintain our platform and services; (b) send digital invitations on your behalf to your guests via WhatsApp and SMS; (c) process and manage RSVP responses through our OTP-based verification system; (d) send you service-related notifications, updates, and communications; (e) improve, personalise, and expand our services; (f) understand and analyse how you use our platform; (g) develop new products, services, features, and functionality; (h) prevent fraud and ensure the security of our platform; and (i) comply with legal obligations.

3.1 We Do Not Sell Your Data

Shagun Setu does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. Your personal information is yours, and we treat it with the utmost respect.

3.2 Service Providers

We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our platform — such as SMS and WhatsApp delivery services, cloud hosting providers, and analytics partners. 3.3 Guest Invitation Data

When you send invitations, the guest's name and relevant event details are shared with them through the communication channel you choose (WhatsApp or SMS). RSVP responses are shared back with the event host.

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests from public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit, secure password hashing, OTP-based authentication for RSVP responses, and regular security audits. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within [30] days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes. Event data may be retained for a period after the event concludes to allow hosts to access records and reports.
